Facts in Your Face

"The US has by far the largest GDP in the world at around 13 trillion. We generate a lot of wealth because we're very productive, we invest in our businesses and technology, we have a very good education system, and we've had a stable government for a long, long time.

We have NEVER needed Iraq's oil for the simple reason that even some of our smallest-producing STATES generate more wealth than the country of Iraq.

Why bother with the facts, conspiracies are more fun, and those who subscribe to them will never care about the facts. Everyone know Iraq is a "rich" country, and we are there to steal it all!!

You after following this war for the last three years, I have come up with a new spin that we could have put on the invasion that might have saved us a lot of trouble. We should have shown up and demanded payment on the moneys owed us. We should have told the Iraqi people that saddam owed us a lot of money and that we wanted it paid in cash. Something tells me the people would have understood that motivation, and if convinced that saddam actually owed us money would have been more than willing to work out a deal of sorts to make good on the debt.
