I'm in the Army Now

"16 Nov

I mentioned a few months that some of our troops had written death letters, to be delivered to family members in the even they died. I recently saw a post on this topic on “The Sandbox” also. I thought about doing it myself, but decided not to. First of all, I have no intentions of dying, so it would be wasted effort. Secondly, it would be profoundly depressing. Third, what in the world would I say? Jancy knows I love her more than anything, and she is my best friend too. Taylor, Elise, and Ryan have been fantastic children, and I couldn’t be prouder. People never believe me when I say I have never had any serious problems with any of them ever. My parents have always been wonderful, supportive, and caring, and faithfully write every day. So I guess the best thing I can do is tell the whole world how lucky, fortunate, or blessed I am. If I do die over here, my blog is my last message to everyone. Boy, that sounded grim, didn’t mean it that way. Point is, if you’ve read all my posts, you’ve gotten to know me pretty well. Rather than mourning, spread the word that I was very happy, and maybe what I’ve written can help others in their deployments. In an infinite universe, anything is possible."
