I just saw her on a local TV channel, and so I just wanted to make a mention here. On this blog we try to bring all the soldiers of freedom to the front page, so Maria Conchita Alonso deserves a mention.
Born in Cuba, fled to Venezuela at the age of 12 with her family after the Cuban revolution. she has come out against Chavez, and is adding her support to opposition candidate Manuel Rosales.

Short version, she said Chaves was an asshole, and a lapdog for castro, that she was coming out in favor of the opposition as a concerned citizen. she said no one paid her to give her support or to travel to Venezuela, she went on her own dime, and though she cant return on election day, she'll be casting her ballot in San Francisco
I think if you change the embed code to a width of no more than 370, the navbar won't be pushed to the bottom. Adjust the height geometrically.
BTW... did Google translate that phrase to Spanish correctly?

Yes, that's exactly what I was trying to say. Cool. Good is better at translating into Spanish than it is into Arabic I guess.
The new embed format is perfect I think. It even seems to look better as the larger version was a bit pixelated, but that might just have to do with the quality of the original.

Yeah the Google translator is really getting good, I became aware of it one day when I found a link to a translated page in the sitemeter. When I compared the translation to the original I was amazed that it translated the meaning, not just the words as the old versions did. Google is on it's way to creating the universal translator like they had in Star Trek.

Interesting. I started using it on BD to make sure that LB was not bullshitting us. It has trouble translating Arabic, but I think you can get a good idea of what a page says. I've also been told that it's translations of English->Arabic are not quite right.

That's got to be better than the one from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
