Tough week and a proud moment for the ITT Team
"The last week of training has been extremely hard for the ITT Team. After close to 4 months in the Iraqi Army, the Iraqi soldiers are still waiting to be paid. Their patience is growing very thin and tensions are at an all time high here in An Numaniyah. In the last week, the soldiers have held another demonstration, started a hunger strike, and some have refused to leave their barracks until pay is in hand. Fortunately, the hunger strike only lasted a day, and the demonstration resulted in no injuries. SSG Ritchie and his training team are doing their very best to keep the classes rolling while dodging the continuous bombardment of pay questions from the Iraqis. This poses both a heightened security risk for the ITT Team and a distraction for the Iraqis. "
