In the early seventies, one of the most wanted target for the Baath party government was the Iraqi art and culture in all its types and presenters like painters, actors and actresses, poets and novelists and all other artists. Many were taken from their homes and never came back until now. The last breaths of our culture were inhaled while watching the beholders arrested, tortured and killed one by one. The very few of the artists who were left had to obey the rules, or sneak out of Iraq in the middle of night just to save their life."
