.Iraq Opens Consulate General in Istanbul
The new Iraqi consulate general in Istanbul was opened on Wednesday in an official ceremony at which visiting Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari attended.
Istanbul Governor Muammer Guler, Turkish Crescent Society Chairman Tekin Turkali and US Consul General Deborah Jones were also present at the opening ceremony.
Zebari told reporters at the ceremony that Turkish-Iraqi relations would enter a new phase with the opening of the new consulate.
