Ignorance that makes me grin

I always grin when I hear such statements. I fully understand why they are said. We long for victory even if the price was a destroyed Lebanon. We long to see the Americans bothered, even if the price was a heap of Iraqi corpses. We frantically try to come up with theories in order to convince ourselves that somehow someway we bothered our 50 years old foe even if we turn out to be the losers in the end."
