"We land through cloudy weather. Somebody remarks out loud that at Dallas they greet all military personnel with fire trucks and a water cannon salute.

There is no such fanfare in Atlanta.

We disembark the plane and walk into the terminal not knowing what to expect. As I walk out into the crowd of people waiting for their flights its as if I don’t exist. People don’t go out of their way to look at us at all. Those that do peek at me then look away if I happen to see them. There are no greetings."

This really pisses me off-------I thought maybe he just had a unusual experience, but I googled ATL greet troops and got nada. Google DFW greet troops and see the difference. I have done the DFW thing several times and there are always dozens to hundreds standing at the gate to greet troops with applause and flags-no matter WHAT time they arrive-fireturucks on hand to salute the plane with an arch of water-------Atlanta sucks. Gonna tell them so...
