No Iranian negotiating team in Iraq: source

LONDON, April 8 (IranMania) - No Iranian delegation has arrived in Iraq to hold negotiations with the United States on Iraq, an informed source said, according to IRNA.

The head of the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI), Abdul Aziz al-Hakim, and some political groups of the country have called on Iran and the US to hold talks in a bid to resolve the pressing problems of the Arab state.

The source rejected news by certain media that quoted Iraqi officials as saying Iran and the US will hold talks Saturday, adding no date has been fixed yet.

He stressed the sides will definitely hold open talks in Baghdad in the presence of a state representative on ongoing developments in Iraq.
