Kurds to the rescue

"Charles Krauthammer has an interesting piece in the Washington Post. Krauthammer often writes a partisan column with an inflexible and predictable view of the Middle East, but this column addresses something that nobody in the press has brought up. He writes about the important role that the Kurds can play to help Iraq out of its current situation.

Krauthammer mentions that the Kurds have switched sides in Iraq. After the first election of January 2005, the Kurds sided with the Shiite slate. Now they have aligned themselves with the Sunni and secular parties and are pushing for change. Krauthammer explains why that change is vital to Iraq:"
