Anticipation

"Leave is coming soon. The count down of days has begun.

It has put me in a place that I have never before been. Thoughts run through my head that I have only heard other veterans speak of, mostly Vietnam veterans.

When I think of home I feel an elation that Ive never before experienced. The thought of seeing my wife and children was difficult to imagine just weeks or months ago, but now is a reality.

They seemed so far away before."
