Escalation of terrorist attacks in Iraq

"Today was one of the bloodiest days in Iraq for weeks and the worst since 2006 started.

A suicidal Wahabi terrorist killed more than 45 and wounded at least 50 Iraqis who were in a Shiite funeral in Diyala today. Before the thug killed himself inside the crowds who were escorting the deceased to his final resting place, the terrorists attacked them with mortars just prior to the suicidal attack.

Car bombs went off in Baghdad, Kerbala and Moqdadyiah in Diyala. Several innocent Iraqis have been killed. One of these cars went off in a public open market in Dora (Shiite area) where tens of people killed and wounded."
