Suicide bomber kills 11 in Iraq

"BAGHDAD, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- A suicide bomber detonated his booby-trapped car in western Iraq Monday, killing 11 people, including three Iraqi soldiers.

A statement by the government said "three terrorists" were also killed in the attack that targeted a base for the multinational forces in the city of Heet in the province of Anbar.

The statement said police seized and dismantled another booby-trapped car in Baaqouba, 60 kilometers (37 miles) east of Baghdad.

It said nine arms caches were also discovered in the Sunni regions of Hassiba, Ramadi, Bild, Fallouja, Tel Afer and Mossoul. They comprised mortars, anti-aircraft rockets, tank shells, explosives and heavy gun shells."
