Can't argue with that, around here they were relentless in their defense of our city and the public.
"What does it take to move just one truck?

...Point:

The closest available fuel on the Eastern approaches to New Orleans is Tuscaloosa, AL. The road distance from Tuscaloosa to New Orleans is 291 miles.

My 2 1/2 ton trucks could not make it to New Orleans, carrying a full load. Without external fueler support, they'd run out of fuel on the way in...."

Looks like more reason to convert to hybrid technologies, as these vehicles would come with three times the range. They could come in handy in a situation like this where the infrastructure was damaged over a wide area. Hybrid vehicles would rule the roads. Also imagine the military advantage of being able to run three times the distance, and shrinking supply lines footprints, making them less of a target.
