IRAQ WRAPUP 2-Iraqi parliament approves charter

"BAGHDAD, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Iraq's parliament finally approved a draft constitution on Sunday, just four weeks before the text is put to a referendum, as violence persisted after one of the bloodiest weeks since the U.S. invasion of 2003.

Police said they discovered the bodies of 20 people who had been killed and dumped in a river in the town of Balad just north of Baghdad, the latest grisly killings that have deepened fears of a sectarian civil war."
