Iraqi Blogger Jailed

The Jarrar family is asking that this be kept quite for now. They are working with the authorities to get Khalid either charged or released. They will let us know when to do something and when to do it.
Keep in mind that Khalid was detained by the secret service, which is supposedly under the CIA, but there are insurgents infiltrated in every department in Iraq by now.
I think Khalid is going to be fine.

I found the URL I was looking for but am no closer to knowing what's going on.

Update:
I just noticed that I had forgot to fill in the URL for this post this morning, so I went back to Cole's blog to get the correct URL for this post, and to my surprise It's completely gone! What in the world. I just saw it this morning, I copied and pasted and then added some commentary, what has happened. Maybe Khalid has been released? I have no idea? Anyone out there know anything? Why would Cole remove it completely from his blog? My mind is filling with conspiracies...Something tells me this story is developing... stay tuned for bad news.
Original Post:
I think till there is more information we should not post just stupid speculation as that might add fuel to the fire. Anyway his family is well connected and should have no problem going through the regular channels to secure his release, that is if of course they did not find any evidence against him or his family of having any connection to terrorism. In that case I would say throw the book at him. But that's just baseless speculation on my part as I know nothing at this point.
I for one like khalid and have been communicating with him on the web for a long time, and would like to know that he's getting a fare shake, and not getting railroaded or anything like that, but Cole assertion as to why is in my opinion pure bull shit. Much like his assertion that River was the first to report his arrest, all you have to do is follow his links too know that's not true.

Original Post:
"Iraqi blogger Khalid has been tossed into jail, apparently for being critical of the Iraqi government on the Web. The arrest was first reported by Riverbend. The other day I think I posted something about Cole getting his facts wrong, Is this another case of just that. How does Cole know why Khalid was arrested? There are other speculations like what I posted earlier this week (here) and who knows what else is going on. I could come up with at least ten reasons why he might get arrested that have noting to do with any anti government blogging.
