Iraqi PM visits Kuwait on first leg of regional tour

"KUWAIT CITY –– Iraqi Prime Minister Ibrahim Jaafari arrived in neighbouring Kuwait on Saturday for a two-day official visit on the first leg of a regional tour.

It is the Shiite premier's first visit to an Arab country since his appointment following the January 30 general elections. Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad al-Sabah described the visit as "historic for Kuwait and Iraq," because Jaafari is the first elected Iraqi premier to visit the emirate."
