The Color of America

All day I was thinking of that election map, the stark red and sharp blues, and I kept thinking that this map just did not provide sufficient resolution. That if someone could code the map at the level of the individual precinct, And each precinct would be a shade of red, blue and yellow, depending on the results. that this would produce a map with enough resolution.
Then today I found this:
