A Day In A Life

A day in a life of ferid, he remembers what it was like on that day.
I just wanted to share with you that day of my life, I thought of writing it after an email I received asking me which president I prefer for America, and how Americans now are divided between Bush and Kerry, so I thought of Iraqis division about that day too, that day made a lot of arguments between Iraqis, if it considered a happy day for liberation or sad day represents occupation…

Some days are like non that you have lived before.

Funny

I thought this was so Funny I had to post it. The look on the kid's face, I am still laughing
Thank you Parker

The power of Youth

Nabil makes some interesting comments.

I saw his speech on BBC WORLD because I think all the Arabic channels were translating his speech with different words that he said you know they make it fake like Al Jazzera and Al Arabia.
in this post I don't know why he thinks that or if it's true. Has anyone ever compared these translations?

Iraqi Elections

I am one of those that I am looking forward to the election, And I don't care what the nay sayers say, the most important thing about the election is that it will be the first of many more to come. Forget perfection, I mean if by the time the second or third election comes around things start to look normal, this will be a unimaginable success.
Of course it's important that Iraq have lots of elections, maybe they should limit all terms for one year, so that if the elected government can not get all the work, like the constitution finished, they have to go back to the public and get re-elected, every year till they get their act together.
Imagine the effect of yearly election in Iraq, not only on getting the people to feel empowered, but the poor masses of people in the neighboring states will go just mad, having to look into the window of democracy, but not being able to touch. maddening I say

Wedding bells

Well in celebration of "Wedding Week" here at the blog-o-sphere I found this

story

With some great pictures

Cast of Characters

It has been brought to my attention that maybe it was not clear who should use this blog. So I am going to try to present a cast of characters.

G.I.Joe - you would think that this was self explanatory, but we live in today's world of multinational coalitions, made up of men and women, so what do you call today's generic soldier?

Iraqi solder - Can be any member of the Iraq armed service, like IP, ING.

Haji - this is what I want to call the opposition, for one I read somewhere that they did not find this term derogatory or offensive, hopefully that's true and they won't mind the term.

G.I.Joe's family - this includes mom, dad, husband, wife, son, daughter you get the idea.

Haji's family - basically the same as above.

Iraqi Soldier family - again same as above.

Iraqi citizen - this can be anyone who lives in the war zone and who's life is affected by this conflict.

Subject - this can be anything you want from the mundane to the heart pumping action. There is no limit to what your story can be about.
If you think your story is not good enough, well Mr. we will be the judge of that. don't be shy sit down and write it, then hit the send BUTTON.
Help free the world of ignorance, by sharing you thoughts, fears, experiences, or even the trials and tribulations of getting your laundry. We want to know.

Now I know that I have left out everyone. This list should only be taken as a basic template. If you have any additions to the list post it here so that I can update in some future post.

Welcome

Welcome

My name is Madtom and this is my first blog.
There are a lot of blogs out there and I want to make this one a little different. I will post what I see out there or link to news or other blogs that bring news from the front lines.
Once I figure out how, I want to put up a picture in the title of the Norman Rockwell painting "War News". Like the characters in that painting we are all eager to hear news from the front.

The thing that I want to do different with this blog, is that I want to post stories from the point of view of all the different characters that make up this war. I want to post stories from G.I.Joe, and from his enemy and from the point of view of their families. The idea is for anyone, be they friend or foe that has something to say, a story to tell, about this, or any war, can send it to me and I will post it here, anonymously.

I am doing this so that the public at large can get an idea of what is going on in this war, and for those doing the fighting can have their stories told. I want to try to do it from all sides. The good the bad and the ugly.
So if you have a story that you think needs to be told, and you want a forum to tell your story then e-mail them to me at thisfckingwar@yahoo.com

There is only a few rules, it has to be good, about a war and anonymous.
